The downtown Raleigh SaaS pipeline runs much lighter governance with faster iteration. Practitioners who can flex between the two are valuable, but most senior people specialize in one mode or the other. Bidding on RTP biotech work without prior FDA-adjacent experience is a setup for failure; bidding on SaaS work with only heavyweight regulated experience produces overbuilt deliverables that the buyer cannot operate.
